The Clinton-Laurens-Newberry Tennis Association
held its 11th Annual One-Day Sanctioned Adult Doubles Tournament on Saturday, November 17th, at Presbyterian College in Clinton. 32 players from 11 different cities and town across South Carolina signed up for the event.
Dempsey’s Pizza provided a delicious lunch buffet for all participants.
In the Women 3.0 Division Final, Susie Madden (Laurens) and Dania Walden (Hodges) defeated Aprille Hoogstraal (Laurens) and Star Lawton (Clinton) 6-4, 6-4.
In the Consolation Round Final, Teresa Abrams (Kinards) and Sharon Sullivan (Kinards) defeated Nikki Jackson (Clinton) and Jolene Postol (Laurens) 2-6, 6-4 (10-7).
In the Men 3.0 Division, the team of Clyde Johnson (Waterloo) and Harry Sullivan (Kinards) were the Champions.
In the Men 3.5 Division, the team of Tony Lawton (Clinton) and John Price (Laurens) were the Champions.
The CLNTA will hold its next Sanctioned Tournament (Senior Doubles) on Saturday, May 31, at Laurens City Park.
