This past Saturday (May 29th) the Clinton-Laurens-Newberry Tennis Association held its annual Adult-Senior Sanctioned Doubles Tournament on the blue courts at Laurens City Park. 20 players from 9 cities and towns across South Carolina (and Georgia) competed in the event.
In the Women’s Adult 3.0 Final, June Barnes (Columbia) and Tammy Mainwaring (Lexington) defeated Jennifer Nobles and Kelcie Weaver (both of Whitmire) 4-6, 6-1, (10-8).
In the Men’s Adult 3.0 Final, Glenn Mainwaring (Lexington) and Alexander Paris (Columbia) defeated Mac Harrison (Newberry) and Chris Moore (Clinton) 6-4, 6-2.
In the Men’s Adult 3.5 Final, Bill Craine and Ricky Rumfelt (both of Laurens) defeated Dash Jenkins (Stockbridge, Georgia) and Gary Johnson (Laurens) 4-6, 6-1, 6-4.

We will hold our next sanctioned tournament on Saturday, August 28th at Laurens City Park. This will be a mixed doubles event.
