DIRECTIONS TO The Laurens COURTS

FROM GREENVILLE
Take I-385 South
Take US 221 exit and turn left at end of ramp
Follow US 221 into Laurens and turn left at the stoplight
the McDonalds will be on your left and Eckerds will be on your right.
Cross railroad tracks and go approximately 1 mile. The road curves to the right
Follow the curve and make a right onto Brownlee St (across from Pete's Lumber)
The Courts are on your left after the baseball field (Look for the Blue!)

FROM SPARTANBURG
Take I-26 towards Columbia
Take SC 49 towards Laurens
Just before Laurens, make a left onto US 221
Follow US 221 into Laurens and turn left at the stoplight

Take I-385 at Clinton towards Greenville

 CLNTA ADULT MIXED DOUBLES TOURNAMENT



On August 29, 2009 the Clinton-Laurens-Newberry Tennis Association held its annual sanctioned Adult Mixed Doubles Tournament on the blue courts at Laurens City Park. Twenty eight players from ten cities and towns across South Carolina competed in the event.

 

In the 3.0 Division Finals, Star Lawton (Clinton) and Greg Hopkins (Laurens) defeated Paula and Kemper Amick (Columbia) 6-3, 6-2.

 

In the 3.5 Division Finals, Amy Hopkins and Chris Wilson (both of Laurens) defeated Leta and David Tribble (Clinton) in the closest-contested Finals in the CLNTA’s history (12 years) 6-7(4), 6-4, (12-10).

 

 

The CLNTA will hold its next sanctioned tournament on Saturday, November 21 at Presbyterian College in Clinton. This will be the CLNTA’s annual sanctioned Adult Doubles event.
