The Whitmire High School Girls’ Tennis Team (in partnership with the Newberry County Recreation Department) provided a one-day Fundamental Instructional Clinic (ages 6 and up) on Saturday, August 7, from 9-12 in the morning.

All ten members of the WHS tennis team assisted with the instruction. WHS Coach Dan Wilder and his wife Martha (of the Clinton-Laurens-Newberry Tennis Association) provided the three-hour instruction. The CLNTA also provided the balls, door prizes, etc.

The WHS Girls’ Tennis Team (and parent volunteers) provided the tents, the snow cones (so many flavors!), the goody bags (with lots of candy inside), official certificates for all five youth participants, more door prizes, etc.
